A la Carte Dining
À la carte dinner service means you are free to select your own time to
dine, and your own dining companions. Some meals are full a la carte, some
are limited à la carte, a few special dinners are from a set menu, and
occasionally you may enjoy a lavish buffet. Where lunches or dinners are not
included, your Tour Director is happy to share an insider’s knowledge of the
best local options. Breakfasts are included to start your day. Many lunches
and dinners are also included and are always clearly specified in your
itinerary. Your dining experiences will range from elegant gourmet restaurants
to distinctive local favorites that fully convey the tastes of the region. You’ll
also have many opportunities to sample local specialties on your own–a great way
to enjoy time with the locals.
Most tours begin with a Welcome Dinner, or a wine and cheese reception on the first day. Special events pepper the week - perhaps a lobster dinner on Prince Edward Island. Whatever your tour, a memorable Farewell Dinner caps your experience at the end of your vacation, as you celebrate the good times and warm memories with your new friends.
